The inspiration came from my old memories of childhood. Back in a day when I was 5~6 years old, I walking with my mom, on the way to the playground. I found a bird's nest on a tree for the first time in my life. In my eyes, it looked like the tree was protecting the bird's nest. So I said, “Thank you, tree.”

The design was made on December 20, 2009, but it was never finished until today by my super laziness. I picked up leaves from a bush in front of my house and sealed them with acrylic medium to keep them looking fresh for a longer time. For the bottom of the tree, I used some artificial miniature grass.

The title was provided by my class mate while I was considering its title.
